Frequently asked questions
How is keyword density calculated?
It is the number of times the word or phrase appears divided by the total number of words in the text, multiplied by 100.
What is the ideal keyword density?
There is no magic number. As a guideline, 0.5% to 2% usually reads naturally; what matters is writing for people and covering the topic well.
What are stopwords?
Very common words with no meaning of their own, such as articles and prepositions (“the”, “of”, “and”). They are excluded so the analysis shows the words that actually matter.
