Privacy policy

Summary

WerklyTools processes your files and text only in your browser. We do not send or store them on any server.

What data we handle

We do not require registration or collect personal data. Your settings (theme, language, tool options) are stored only on your device, in the browser’s local storage.

If analytics is enabled, it only loads with your consent and measures visits in aggregate (see the Cookie policy).

Third-party services

The password checker may query the Pwned Passwords API using k-anonymity: only the first 5 characters of a hash are sent, never your password.

The support link goes to Buy Me a Coffee, which has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Since we store no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. You can clear your settings by clearing the site data in your browser.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to measure in aggregate how many people visit each tool. We anonymize the IP, disable advertising signals and never send file names or their content: only events such as “download completed” with the file extension.

You can accept or reject analytics in the cookie notice and change your decision at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Google may process data in third countries with the safeguards required by law.
