Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. Merging happens in your browser with pdf-lib, inside a Web Worker. Documents never leave your device, which makes it safe for contracts or personal data.

Is there a page or size limit?

No artificial limit. The only cap is your device’s memory; documents with hundreds of pages merge fine on a normal computer.

Can I change the order of the files?

Yes, with the arrows on each row. The final document follows exactly the order you see on screen.

Are bookmarks and forms preserved?

Pages are kept with their content, text, images and internal links. Each PDF’s bookmarks (outline) and global form fields are not carried over.

What about a password-protected PDF?

You first have to remove the protection with the password in a PDF reader; this tool cannot open encrypted files.
