How to use
- 1Drop your images (or paste them with Ctrl+V). JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP are supported.
- 2Choose the quality (75–85% is usually imperceptible), the output format and, optionally, a maximum side in pixels.
- 3Check the savings for each file; settings apply to all of them instantly.
- 4Download a single image or all of them together in a ZIP.
Use cases
- Speed up your website: lighter images improve LCP and Google rankings.
- Meet size limits when attaching photos to forms or emails.
- Convert heavy JPGs and PNGs to WebP.
- Shrink phone photos before uploading them to an online store or social media.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs in your own browser (Canvas and Web Workers). Photos never leave your device, it works offline and there is no file limit.
What quality should I choose?
Between 75 and 85% the visual difference is almost imperceptible and the savings are large. Below 60% artifacts usually appear in gradients and text.
Is WebP better than JPG?
WebP is typically 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality and supports transparency. Every current browser supports it.
Why does my PNG barely shrink?
PNG is lossless, so the quality setting does not affect it. To really shrink it, convert to WebP or JPG (if you do not need transparency) or limit its pixel size.
Is metadata lost?
Yes: recompressing removes EXIF, GPS and other metadata, which also protects your privacy. If you only want to strip it without touching quality, use the “EXIF remover” tool.
