JSON to CSV converter

Paste an API response or any JSON file and get a CSV table ready for Excel or Google Sheets. Nested objects become columns like address.city, and we find the data array even when it sits inside { "data": [...] }.

Processed 100% in your browser

How can I verify this?

Your files are never uploaded: they are processed on your device. Check it yourself: load the page, turn off your WiFi and the tool keeps working. Or open your browser’s developer tools (F12), go to the Network tab, and see that no file leaves your device.

How to use

  1. 1Paste the JSON, drop a .json file or load the sample.
  2. 2Pick the delimiter: comma for most programs, semicolon for European Excel.
  3. 3Decide how to handle nested objects and arrays, and whether to include a header.
  4. 4Enable “Excel-friendly” and download the .csv, or copy the result.

Use cases

  • Open REST API responses in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Export MongoDB or Firebase collections to a spreadsheet.
  • Share technical data with business or marketing teams.
  • Prepare CSV imports for CRMs, online stores or email tools.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Excel garble accents or put everything in one column?

Excel needs a BOM to recognize UTF-8 and, in many European locales, expects semicolons as the separator. Enable “Excel-friendly” and choose the right delimiter: the file will open correctly with a double click.

What happens to nested objects?

With “Flatten” enabled, { "address": { "city": "London" } } becomes the column address.city. If you disable it, the object is stored as JSON text in a single cell.

What if my JSON is not an array?

We automatically look for the first array of objects inside the document (for example in "data", "results" or "items"). If there is only one object, it becomes a single row.

Does it accept JSON Lines (one object per line)?

Yes. If you paste one JSON object per line, they are automatically combined into a single table.
