Pixelate an image or an area

Draw a rectangle over the part you want to hide and adjust the pixel size. You can also pixelate the whole image for a retro look. Everything happens in your browser, so the original photo never leaves your device.

How can I verify this?

Frequently asked questions

Is pixelation safe for hiding sensitive data?

Strong pixelation hides faces and large text well, but with small pixels text may still be recognizable. For very sensitive data use large pixels or cover it with a solid block.

How do I pixelate only part of the image?

Drag with the mouse or your finger over the image to draw a rectangle. Only that area is pixelated; use “Clear selection” to remove it.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Pixelation is computed in your browser and the image is not sent anywhere.

Can pixelation be undone?

Once you download the pixelated image, the original details are no longer in it. Keep the original if you need it.
