Online PDF editor: add text, cover and highlight
Open a PDF, click where you want to write and add text, cover a detail with a rectangle or highlight a paragraph. It is ideal for filling in a form, fixing a detail or marking up a document without paid software. Everything happens in your browser: the file is not uploaded to any server.

Pick a tool: “Text” (click and type), “Cover” or “Highlight” (drag a rectangle) or “Move” to reposition or delete. Press Enter to confirm text.
The original PDF is not modified and nothing is uploaded. “Cover” draws a white rectangle on top: it does not erase the text underneath, so do not use it to hide confidential information.

Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. It is edited in your browser with pdf.js and pdf-lib, so private documents never leave your device.
Is “Cover” suitable for hiding confidential information?
No. The white rectangle is drawn on top, but the original text remains inside the file and can be copied or recovered. To truly hide data you must remove the content with a redaction tool.
Which fonts can I use?
Helvetica, which covers Latin letters with accents. Characters that do not exist in that font (for example non-Latin alphabets) are not written.
Can I change the text the PDF already contains?
No. This tool adds layers on top (text, boxes, highlights); it does not rewrite the document’s original content.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not with password-protected ones. Remove the protection first in your PDF reader.
