Frequently asked questions
What is natural order?
It treats numbers inside the text as numbers: file2 comes before file10, which plain alphabetical order does not do.
Does it respect accents?
Yes. The comparison uses the sorting rules of your browser’s language, so “école” sits with the e’s and “ñ” comes after “n” in Spanish.
Is it case-sensitive?
By default yes, although letters group naturally (a, A, b, B). Turn on “Ignore case” to treat them the same.
Can I shuffle the lines randomly?
Yes, choose “Random” and press “Shuffle again” as many times as you like.
Is my list uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is sorted in your browser.
