Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The ZIP is created in your browser with JSZip, so the files never leave your device.
Is there a size limit?
The limit is your browser’s memory: the tool warns you when there is too much data. For very large amounts, create several ZIPs.
Which compression level should I pick?
Maximum gives smaller files but takes longer. For photos, videos or PDFs, which are already compressed, the difference is barely noticeable: “Fast” or “No compression” is enough.
Can I password-protect the ZIP?
No. This tool creates unencrypted ZIPs. If you need to protect files, use a program that encrypts with a password.
What if two files have the same name?
They are renamed automatically (photo.jpg and photo (2).jpg) so none gets lost inside the ZIP.
